Doomed & Stoned reviews "Supernatural Kvlt Sounds" ep and streams new song "Sleep Among the Dead" via our new bandcamp site!
"Leading the way as a dark shamanic priestess, DOOMSTRESS demonstrates to us the power of universal understanding through lyrical prose and heavy instrumentation on these musical compositions...DOOMSTRESS brings a brand new energy and stronger individualized presence that captures the very essence of stoner doom and heavy rock"-Stephanie Cantu/Cosmic Eve for Doomed &

“Supernatural Kvlt Sounds” shows the deep-winded singer produce a sound that is both rooted in classic hard rock (think Deep Purple, Jethro Tull, Rainbow) and later, doom-dirge bands like Candlemass, Solitude Aeturnus and Cathedral. Brandon Johnson’s riffs follow a peak-and-valley format, rising to dizzying heights only to come crashing down with the impetus of a mid-winter avalanche. Impassioned vocals and catchy guitar riffs." Houston Press article 10 Houston Beers for 10 Houston Bands

This American IPA from Magnolia’s Lone Pint Brewer ...adopted the name for one of its core brews from writing on the wall of a favored bar. The beer is devilishly hop-heavy, with a 66 IBU count. Doomstress is heavy, too. It’s the new stoner-rock project of Project Armageddon’s Doomstress Alexis and Brandon Johnson. They team with Ohio drummer Tomasz Scull for this group, which was officially announced only this month and has already received high reviews for its debut EP, Supernatural Kvlt Sounds. With covers of occult rockers Uriah Heep and Coven, the band is settling into its diabolical neighborhood rather nicely.
